Event Photography for the Female Founders Rise Report Launch

One of the things I enjoy most about event photography is that no two events are ever the same. Every venue, lighting setup and schedule brings its own challenges, and it's my job to adapt quickly while capturing authentic moments as they happen.

Earlier this year, I photographed the launch of The Rise Report for Female Founders Rise at Barclays Eagle Labs in London.

It was an inspiring morning, bringing together female founders, entrepreneurs and business leaders to celebrate the report and hear from speakers including Emmie Faust and Joanna Jensen. As well as documenting the keynote talks, I captured the atmosphere of the event, audience reactions, networking moments and the details that help tell the story of the day.

From a photography perspective, the venue presented an interesting challenge. There was very little natural light, so I used the set-up time before guests arrived to create a lighting plan with off-camera flash. Once the talks began, I switched to a much more discreet approach, allowing me to photograph the speakers and audience without causing distractions.

One of the biggest parts of professional event photography happens after the event itself. On this occasion, the images needed to be edited and delivered on the very same day to meet a Sunday Times print deadline. Working efficiently under pressure meant the organisers had high-quality images ready for immediate press coverage, social media and marketing.

Fast turnaround times are often essential for corporate events, conferences and PR launches, and it's something I always build into my workflow when clients need images quickly.

If you're organising a conference, networking event, product launch or business celebration, professional event photography ensures you have a library of high-quality images that continue to work long after the event has finished.

I always enjoy photographing events for Female Founders Rise, capturing the energy, connections and conversations that make these gatherings so valuable for the businesses and founders taking part.
