I’m Anna, a West London-based brand photographer specialising in portraits, people, products and food. I create thoughtful, distinctive imagery for businesses that want their photography to feel as considered as the brand behind it.

With over 20 years working professionally in photography, I bring a mix of creative instinct, technical expertise and a very practical understanding of what businesses actually need from their images. I’ve worked with everyone from established brands and publications to ambitious founders and growing businesses, and I know that great photography isn’t just about making something look good. It needs to have a purpose.

Before a camera comes out, I want to understand what you’re trying to say, who you’re trying to reach and what makes your brand yours. I’ll look at your existing visual identity, listen to your ideas and help shape the shoot so that the images feel cohesive, natural and genuinely useful across your website, social media, marketing and PR.

Whether we’re creating confident portraits of your team, bringing a product to life, capturing food at its most tempting or showing the people behind your business, I’m interested in the details that make an image feel you.

I’m collaborative, calm and adaptable, and I like a shoot to be enjoyable as well as productive. You don’t need to be a natural in front of the camera, and you don’t need to arrive with every shot planned. That’s part of what I’m here for.

A little more about me

I grew up in Somerset and am now based in West London, working across London, the UK and beyond.

People often ask, “Have you been doing this long?” The short answer is yes!

I’ve had a camera in my hand from a very young age and photography has always been part of how I see and communicate with the world. I’m much better at expressing myself in pictures than words, so perhaps it was inevitable that I ended up making a career from it. I’m lucky enough to have studied photography from GCSE through A-Level and on to a BA (Hons) degree.

After university, I spent 15 years working in weekly celebrity magazines, including 11 years at OK! Magazine. I was working in a fast-paced editorial environment where images had to grab attention, tell a story and work on the page. I was involved in picture editing and art direction, selecting images that would ultimately be seen by millions of readers every week.

That experience gave me a very instinctive understanding of what makes an image work. What catches your eye, what tells a story quickly and what makes you want to stop and look. It’s an eye I now bring to commercial photography, helping businesses create images that don’t just look beautiful, but communicate.

I’ve been surrounded by pictures for most of my life, and I’m still fascinated by the way light, composition and a well-timed moment can completely change how something feels.

There are usually quite a few cups of tea involved!

Beyond brand photography
